The young men from the Samburu tribe of Kenya have an unorthodox virility contest. They compete to see who can jump the highest from a stationary position.
On a recent hike up Mount Ololokwe, our guide Paul Kominga was also a Moran from the Samburu tribe. While watching the sunset from the mountain, Paul gave us an impromptu jumping show.
You can just about make out the A2, or The Great North Road, which connects Cape Town to Cairo at the bottom left of the image.
