Browsing through the news, I was saddened to hear about the freak blizzard that struck close to the Thorung La pass. Having just returned from Nepal, this sad news is unbelievable.
I met many people on their way to the Annapurna circuit both in Kathmandu and in Pokhara. Right now my thoughts go out to the friends and families of all that may have been affected in one way or another.
I am sure people the world over are praying and hoping for the quick rescue of all those affected. I am also sure that many well-wishers will offer their prayers at places of worship all over the world. I cherish this image of the Boudanath Stupa, in Kathmandu, and send my prayers that way.
